Become a volunteer

A big event requires many hands, and volunteers are indispensable for a World Championship.

 

We are therefore looking for volunteers during the period from the 16th of March 2019 until the 24th of March 2019.

 

Our only requirement is that you are working at least three shifts throughout the period.

What we offer

Aside from the community and the exciting and satisfactory work, we are offering the following benefits for your efforts:

 

3 shifts

Meals and supplies during your shift, a jacket, free entrance to all matches, to the extent that there are free seats, and of course a diploma as a proof of your volunteer work.

 

3-5 shifts

Meals and supplies during your shift, a jacket, a sweater, free entrance to all matches, to the extent that there are free seats, and of course a diploma as a proof of your volunteer work.

 

5+ shifts

Meals and supplies during your shift, a jacket, a sweater, free entrance to all matches, in extent there are available seats, a ticket to the closing banquet on Sunday, March 24th, and of course a diploma, as a proof of your volunteer work.

Volunteer tasks

We are looking for volunteers for a number of exciting jobs. Read more about the different areas below. If you have any questions regarding the volunteer work, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with us at volunteers@wwcc2019.com

Accreditation and Secretariat

You will create accreditation cards that allow access to specific areas. You will take pictures, print, laminate and hand over the access card.

Media and Volunteer Center

You will help with various problems that may arise for the media staffs. It can be anything from calling IT support, fixing a printer or just finding paper.

Security, Ticketing and Guides

You will have three different tasks in this area. You will scan tickets, check accreditation and handle security at different entries.

Allround

As an allround worker, you will help where help is needed and provide supplies for your co-workers during the arrangement.

VIP

You will be host/hostess for the VIP and ensure that they are comfortable and have what they need. We expect you to be smiling and welcoming.

Ceremonies

You will install podiums, carry flags and more. It is expected that you can carry lighter things. You will be on the ice during the event so this must be OK for you.

Service Crew

You will sell drinks and snacks from the small food truck in the arena. You will help during lunch and dinner.

Transport

The drivers must be familiar with Silkeborg and the surrounding areas. A drivers license is a must.

Construction

You will help with logistics and construction at the arena in the days leading up to the event.
